Designing with light
At the Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights hotel
With its distinctive pair of towers soaring to 164 meters/538 feet and offering panoramic views across the water and the city skyline, the Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights hotel is the last word in five-star service and original interior design. Situated in Deira, the city’s historic heritage area, the hotel opened its doors in March 2015, offering guests the very latest in cutting-edge chic, together with a warm welcome and a radiant ambiance. The spacious lobby is lined with 1,000 square meters of “living” plant walls, as well as flowers and greenery, and is filled with the soothing sound of water features. A towering glass ceiling, sparkling with 86 square meters of Swarovski crystal-embellished panels, brings the city’s year-round sunshine into the heart of the hotel.
In addition to the hotel’s 464 rooms, there are 76 luxury suites, including two Royal Suites, stretching the length of the hotel’s top two stories. Each boasts a total of 80 square meters of crystallized ceiling panels in the study, lounge and majlis (the Arabic ‘sitting room’ for entertaining family and guests), which are studded with 47,000 crystal chatons. The effect is an elegant, light-filled interior of unparalleled beauty.
Wrapped around one of the Royal Suites is an outdoor terrace, providing a 360-degree view. The other features a seven-meter-high dome ceiling and skylights. All luxury suites come with access to the exclusive Regency Club lounge on the 32nd floor—part of the renowned “hotel within a hotel” experience.
In total, 166 square meters of crystalline panels set with over 60,000 Swarovski crystals—including chaton, octagon and pear—were used to create the Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights’ uniquely luminous interior. It’s a remarkable feat of design that expertly orchestrates light to take luxury to the next level.
