Peter Lindbergh: From Fashion to Reality

April 13 – August 27, 2017
Kunsthalle Munich

October 6, 2017 – February 4, 2018
La Venaria Reale, near Turin

Swarovski is proud to be the premium partner in support of the international touring exhibition Peter Lindbergh: A Different Vision on Fashion Photography. After debuting in 2016 at the Kunsthalle Rotterdam, and after its successful second leg at the Kunsthalle Munich, it arrives at La Venaria Reale near Turin in October 2017 under the title Peter Lindbergh: From Fashion to Reality. Curated by Thierry-Maxime Loriot, with Lindbergh, the show presents a major retrospective of this unique and highly influential photographer. Celebrated for his cinematic style, his introduction of a new realism into fashion photography, and his redefinition of the standards of beauty, Lindbergh has enjoyed a multi-faceted, forty-year career. The show therefore takes a thematic approach, marking his fascinating creative development and highlighting his passions. Its eight sections—Supermodels, Couturiers, Zeitgeist, Dance, The Unknown, Darkroom, Silver Screen and Icons—include many fine art prints and striking haute couture pieces featuring dazzling Swarovski crystals, alongside rare behind-the-scenes and archive material.
